# Products and catalog

> Search recurring goods extracted from invoice line items and grouped by vendor.

# Products and catalog

SnapIt builds a read-only product catalog from invoice line items. It groups matching goods by vendor so your team can review recurring products, SKUs, and recent prices without maintaining a separate catalog manually.

## Open the catalog

Go to **Products** in the workspace sidebar. The page shows vendors that have at least one extracted product.

Select a vendor to see:

* Product name
* Unit
* SKU, when present
* Last extracted unit price
* Number of invoices where the product appeared
* Last-seen date
* Link to the most recent invoice

## Search products

Use the search box after selecting a vendor. Search matches product names and SKUs. Results are paginated, and selecting a row opens the related invoice when one is available.

## How products are created

Products are created or updated automatically when invoice extraction produces line items and a vendor. The catalog is not a separate inventory system:

* Correct the invoice line item if the extracted name, SKU, quantity, or price is wrong.
* The next extraction or correction updates the product history.
* Products without a vendor association do not appear in the vendor-grouped catalog.
* The catalog does not reserve stock, calculate inventory, or edit provider accounting records.

<Tip>
  For the best catalog results, review vendor names and line items on invoices before exporting or publishing them.
